Horse Racing
Dubai is the location for the worlds most lucrative horse race, The Dubai World Cup. The race takes place at the Nad Al Sheba racetrack, which also houses the world famous Godolphin stables. Prize money for this one race is in excess of £11.25 million.
Golf
There are many world class golf courses in Dubai with only horseracing that pips it to the post as the favourite of the nation. Dubai currently hosts two major tournaments, the European PGA Dubai Desert Classic and the Asian PGA Dubai Creek Open. With the creation of new courses and a wider range of facilities, Dubai is rapidly becoming a location for
the serious golfer.
On most courses you can turn up and play, however it is wise to book at tee-time in the coolest part of the day. Golf is formal in Dubai, and you will be required to wear correct golfing attire, as will as no hard-spiked golf shoes.

Skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and bobsled
Ski Dubai is located in The Emirates Mall and is the world’s largest indoor Ski centre. It contains a 400M ski run, bobsled and luge run, snow park, restaurants and chair and T-bar lifts.
You can hire all of your equipment on site, and can purchase all of the latest styles and trends in a very well stocked ski shop.

Where better to have a shopping spree than in one of the many mega malls located in Dubai. Each Mall has its own unique ambiance, with many themes areas to improve your shopping experience.

Water Park
If you are taking your children to Dubai, then first on the agenda must be the water park. There are over 30 rides to choose from, ranging from tame rides for small children, to extreme slides to scare the adults. IF you are not quite up to a 50mph descent with nothing to protect you than a pair of
trunks, then sit back and enjoy the sunshine while your children enjoy the 4-storey play structure at the Juha Dhow & Lagoon.
Any devotee to water parks around the world will be aware that the queuing and walking involved between rides is time consuming and tiring. Dubai has the answer as you are transported around the park in a long lazy meandering river.
Beaches
When the temperatures are high and relaxation is the order of the day, many head to the shore of the Arabian Gulf to take advantage of the warm waters and soft golden sandy beaches. Many of the beaches are deserted allowing for maximum peace and quiet. If you do fancy a little activity then there are plenty of beach based activities to enjoy, such as fishing, snorkelling, Scuba Diving, windsurfing and water skiing.
